Belarusian President Lukashenko re-infected with new crown virus

According to the video posted on the official social account of the President of Belarus. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said when receiving the visiting delegation of the Russian Republic of Tuva in Minsk on the 20th local time. He has contracted the new coronavirus for the second time. This time, it was infected with a mutant strain of Omicron.

Lukashenko did not specify when he contracted the Omicron strain. However, it is emphasized that the symptoms caused by this strain are relatively mild. No lung infection was caused.

Lukashenko admitted to being infected with the new coronavirus asymptomatic when he inspected troops affiliated to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and delivered a speech on July 28, 2020 in Minsk, and did not disclose more details at the time.
