ISIS jailed in Syria’s Hasakah province

The “Syrian Democratic Army” led by the Syrian Kurdish armed forces confirmed on the 21st. Extremist militants attacked a prison in Hasakah, the capital of northeastern Syria’s Hasakah province on the 20th. Trying to help detained extremist group members escape from prison.

The prison was under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces, and the two sides exchanged fire. It continued until the 21st, and 1 or 20 people were reportedly killed on both sides.

It is said to be one of the largest attacks by the extremist group in Syria since 2019. The extremist group lost its last major stronghold in Syria in March 2019. Its remnants are still hiding in the desert, launching attacks from time to time.
