On January 18, local time, Kazakh Minister of Health Ginyat said. Two people injured in the riots died in the hospital’s intensive care unit. So far, 227 people have died in the riots.
Earlier, the General Prosecutor’s Office of Kazakhstan had released a message. As of January 15, riots have resulted in 225 deaths. 175 of them died in medical facilities.
Guinette also said that since the riots began earlier this month. A total of 2,739 victims received medical assistance, and 200 are currently hospitalized. 14 of them are in critical condition in intensive care units.
