Peskov: Russia opposes endless delays in dialogue

There is no deadline for the Russia-US strategic stability dialogue, but Russia opposes endless delays in the process.

Peskov said that the Russia-US Strategic Stability Dialogue was not held for the sake of going through the motions. In the current situation, it is important that the dialogue produces results, but there is currently no result. He said that there will be several rounds of talks between Russia and the United States. He noted that there is no deadline for the talks. But Russia has only one position, which is that endless delays in the process are absolutely not welcome.

On the same day, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zakharova said. Regarding the current Russia-U.S. dialogue process, Russia hopes that the U.S. can respond to Russia’s demands for security in a timely manner.

In addition, Russian media also quoted sources as saying. The United States promised Russia that it would report the results of this round of U.S.-Russian dialogue to the leadership. and to transmit to Russia a written response to the security proposal next week.

After the end of the Russia-US dialogue on the 10th, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov said. At the legal level, NATO promises not to expand eastward, not to deploy strike weapons on the Russian border, and to restore NATO’s military deployment to the state when Russia and NATO signed the basic relationship document in 1997. This is Russia’s core security concern, but Russia does not believe that the United States is willing to make satisfactory decisions on these key issues.
