UN issues stamps for 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics

The United Nations Postal Administration announced on the 14th that it will celebrate the opening of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. The United Nations will issue stamps with the theme “Sport for Peace”. This is the first time the United Nations has issued stamps for the Winter Olympics.

The stamps issued this time have face values of $0.58, $1.30, 1.10 Swiss francs, 2.00 Swiss francs, 0.85 euros and 1.80 euros, the UNPA said. The images of ice hockey players, snowboarders, figure skaters, snowmobile players, curlers and alpine skiers were displayed. The stamps were drawn by Chinese illustrator Ruan Feifei.

The United Nations Postal Administration says the “Sport for Peace” stamps can be purchased through the agency’s website. Or buy it at UNPA’s brick-and-mortar stores in New York, Geneva and Vienna. Like regular stamps, the “Sport for Peace” stamp can be used to mail a variety of letters.
