What is hip-hop?

Street dance(hip-hop) is a dance that combines sports and street performances. It uses body movement dance as its basic content, and is coordinated with street dance style music, single or collective. It is both entertainment and fitness functions, as well as performing sports.

In the late 1960s, hip-hopĀ appeared in New York City on the east coast of the United States and California on the west coast. It was a dance of the black urban poor in the United States.
